How to Build Strength!
Strength = How much stress you can handle
Everything in Life is a battle, each day deciding to wake up early or sleep in longer is a choice. Making decisions and handling situations that cause a little discomfort is building up strength. The more obstacles that you overcome means another plus in the strength department. There are many types of strength. Often times, we like to think that strength is purely physical, but there is both emotional strength along with mental strength. Emotional strength comes from a relationship or dealign with people who see the world differently from you. Dealing with the emotions inside of you builds a place of calm and peace. Mental strength builds off willpower, doing things that you do not like doing builds mental strength.
Physically getting stronger
When our bodies grow they need stimulus to help is grow. It shapes us to be stronger, more resilient. Exercise brings that to us and in the long term you will look back and ask how did I get here. Look at how I look, how I feel, how I am built. Strength comes physically through a byproduct of lifting more and more weight.
The ability to do more and bear more load, getting faster, stronger, and more resistant to more stress.
Muscle is a byproduct of Strength!
If your struggling and wondering why I can’t put on muscle or gain weight
Lift Heavier Things and Muscle will Grow…
Working out and training makes more stress
Resting from the stress and training allows for Growth to take place, muscles are build while you recover so lifting heavy is only half the battle. Lifting heavy paired with the proper nutrition that allows for muscle growth to take place along with rest will ensure growth physically.
Mentally getting stronger
The willpower and discipline to say no to temptations and step away from self-indulgent behavior. These quick fixes in life will lead you down a road of no return. Habits are what define our lives and often times, taking the quick and easy road will lead to a quick, but unfulfilled life. You will start wondering a few months later when how did I get here…
Here are some ways on how to develop mental strength
Taking a Cold Shower
Cold showers are uncomfortable.. Honestly, they suck :) Doing things that suck probably are good for you. They allow for you to grow and eventually there will come a time when it doesn’t suck and you’ll wonder what’s next that I can do that sucks..
Elimination of Instant Gratification
Comfort is a killer too many people in this world having super easy access to Porn, Drugs, Watching Tv // Netflix // Youtube, or even Drinking Alcohol without doing the work first is a killer. When we do the work first and then get a reward, we feel great! When the reward comes before the work, we will feel gross. Imagine eating ice=cream for breakfast and lunch then eating a main course. Your body is going to feel disgusted and want to do something more productive and beneficial for the long term.
Over-Eating Food
Food is great! Food taste amazing and is super beneficial to the body, but excessively eating food to cover up what is inside is not beneficial. Every time we eat food, we get onto a high. The longer we can delay eating food, the greater food will taste. Eating too much food, will make you feel weak and slowed down. Eating enough will build strength.
Saying No to Sweets
Sweets may taste good, but in the long run people could form cavities. Sweets are a cheat code for the brain. They shut down the pleasure centers of the brain and make you not want to eat real food. Sweets are artificial and artificial things do not last in life.
Spiritually getting stronger
The ability to break away from toxic relationships or anything that is below your personal standard of what is acceptable in terms of friends
Breaking away from relationship with people that aren't headed in the same direction as yourself is healthy. You are your stronger person and when you get stronger by saying no to things that you do not want to tolerate then the people around you will grow also.
Getting out friendships where life goals are not aligned
Friendships are the most important thing in your life. They will help you go places and encourage you to be your best self. You are able to be vulnerable around them, but the wrong crowd will lead you down the wrong road. Keeping careful eye of who you surround yourself with will lead you to success! Take in account what your friends do and where it will lead them down in the next 2-3 years. Then think if you want that for your own life or not; if not then break away and change.
Being able to work alone
The hardest thing in life is being able to be by yourself. In prison, the most dangerous people are the ones that get sent to solitary confinement. When you are to work alone, you go fast in life. You learn and truly understand what you know and don’t know. Everyone can help you study and get you to where you want to go in life, but no one can help you take the test.
Being able to do things by yourself
What you get in life is what you tolerate in LIFE!! Life is the ultimate test that never ends. Facing adversity, struggle and keep on pushing on til you get what you want in life is great. By going and doing things first by yourself, you then are able to go back and help people along the journey.
